In Memory of Our Beloved Teacher Sandra Barnard
Sandra J. Barnard (DeLellis) died on April 12, 2022 in her home in Meadville, PA.
Sandra was born on August 29, 1951 to Joseph P. and Nellie M. DeLellis in Corry, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother “Mickey” (Michael) DeLellis. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, George W. (Bill) Barnard (of Dallas, Texas); her brother, Joseph R. DeLellis; his wife, Peggy; their children Dan, Dave, Barb, and Brenda; and her two cats Madhu and Bindu.
Sandra was a longtime practitioner of yoga and meditation and she learned from many healers and spiritual teachers over the years. She both studied and taught in the IM School of Healing Arts, under the direction of Levent Bolukbasi, from 1990 – 1996.
Sandra and Bill lived in Dallas, Texas. Sandra also kept a second home in northwestern Pennsylvania, where in 1994 she founded what evolved into the Full Spectrum Center for Spiritual Awakening in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
Sandra loved life and laughter. She was an extraordinarily committed and inspiring spiritual teacher, healer, and guide. Through the Full Spectrum Center Sandra helped hundreds of individuals to live spiritually awakened lives with faith, joyful hearts, and generosity of spirit. She taught with insight, clarity, depth, and humor. She met each person genuinely, always calling them to their best and highest selves. Sandra lived what she taught: that we are spiritual beings; that we are on this earth to spiritually evolve; that love is our essence; that change is inevitable; and that every experience in our lives is there for our learning, growth, and healing. Her students will remember her focused dedication to spiritual growth – both her own and others’ – and her deep and profound love.
In memory of Sandra, donations may be made to the World Central Kitchen at http://www.wck.org/or the Endometrial Cancer Research center through MD Anderson at http://mdacc.convio.net/goto/sandrabarnard
